The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, also known as Prince William and Catherine, have received approval from the Queen of England to live in apartment 1A in Kensington Palace. Before they can move in, however, the home will need to be upgraded with $4.7 million (3 million) in home security upgrades. The residence is currently being used by the Historic Royal Palaces charity for office space and as an exhibition hall. All upgrades and renovations should be completed by 2013. Once William and Catherine move into their new home some time in 2013, it is expected that Prince Harry, William's brother will move into Nottingham Cottage, where the royal couple is living right now.
